Behind the camera
Hello, my name is Eunice. I’m a published photographer and the owner of Stories by MintySnaps LLC, the person who’ll be working with you to capture your stories. I’m originally from Washington D.C., moved to Michigan when I got married, and finally settled in Arizona in the summer of 2018. I have been loving all the gorgeous desert scenery, learning about different types of cacti and not-so-friendly bugs. :)
I am the mom of twin boys and the wife of a busy hubby. There’s never a dull moment in our house with three(?) boys but I wouldn’t have it any other way!! I absolutely love chasing these adventurous, curious boys and taking on new challenges every day. They are my inspiration and muse.
Clients often ask me about my photography background. So here it is! I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA and have been working as a graphic designer/art director for the past decade. In the process, my passion for storytelling through photography organically grew over the years. You can check me out on Linkedin! :)
After I was blessed with twin boys, photography became my full-time love affair and since then, the camera and I have become inseparable. I love how I can capture stories of my boys in the midst of the craziness. I enjoy doing the same for my clients: capturing fleeting moments and turning them into art. That’s enough about me! The story behind the name
People often ask me about the name of my business, which started out as “Mintysnaps”: a fresh, sweet take on capturing your moments.
After moving to Arizona from Michigan couple of years ago, I was inspired to revisit the purpose of my business. Since my background is in art, I knew I wanted to approach my client a little differently. I wanted to help tell your authentic story, like an editorial spread in a magazine that helps to bring to life an entire narrative—without using any words. My goal is to take you back to that special time in your life through the storytelling, not just hand over a collection of pretty images. So I changed the name of my business to “Stories by Mintysnaps.”
When you book your session with me, it’s a comprehensive experience. I take you through the process to understand your stories so I can be sure to capture them in the most perfect way possible! The process starts with questionnaires about you and your vision, as well as discussing the location and styling. Having a positive and fun experience during your session is super important, so when you revisit your stories, all those good memories come rushing back to you. I believe photography is more than just a click: it’s frozen memories that can be treasured for a lifetime.

This is Aaron, the younger Yoo twin and my mini me. He believes he is older because he is taller. He calls himself Captain Batman. He is a little artist and dreamer. And living life to the fullest.
